TTM specific. Describe and apply health and safety risk assessment to a job role in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry good practice.

40516 Monitor & Maintain TTM Controls

This standard recognises the skills required to monitor and maintain pre-established static TTM controls for an activity. It covers the skills used for operation and maintenance of the site, including ongoing identification of changing site conditions for the activity & surrounding environment.

40517 Supervise Mobile Operations

This standard recognises the skills required to supervise a safe mobile operation on the road reserve. It builds on the foundations of 40232 Perform Mobile Operations, and develops the skills to coordinate and lead onsite mobile traffic management operations.

40232 Perform Mobile Operations

This skill standard is an ideal entry point into mobile traffic management operations and is designed for workers operating under the supervision of a mobile lead or supervisor. This workshop is suitable for anyone who drives, operates or directs a vehicle within a mobile operation, including roadmarking, kerbside collection, and mobile plant operators.

40233 Assist with TTM

This new standard replaces the previous TTM Worker standard and recognises the skills required to assist with the installation, operation, maintenance and uplift of TTM within the road reserve. Suitable for anyone working with a crew on TTM tasks, and for those looking for an entry point to the industry.

40231 Low Risk/Low Impact

This new standard replaces the old NZTA Inspector course with a wider scope. This is designed for activities on or near the road but where TTM is not their primary role and you are completing low-risk/low-impact work activities.

TTM Industry Refresher

Suitable for anyone in the TTM industry. The TTM industry is going through a fundamental shift in best practice, moving away from CoPTTM and to the NZ Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM) as best practice. The TTM Industry Refresher workshop supports you to stay up to date with these important changes.

Fast Track Skills Development

A hands-on workshop that develops core TTM skills workers need to deliver TTM services effectively. Based on employer and senior STMS feedback.

General Worker

TMO Non-Practicing

Demonstrate knowledge of stakeholders and operational requirements for temporary traffic management.

TMO Practising

Maintain the TTM worksite, install and remove a worksite, and undertake an inspection activity.

Explain the requirements for the worksite under temporary traffic management.

STMS CAT A/B Non-Practicing

Explain the requirements for the worksite under temporary traffic management for a road environment.
