TTM Industry Refresher

The TTM Industry Refresher workshop is a one-day theory workshop designed to update and refresh the knowledge of those in the TTM industry.

Suitable for anyone in the industry, this workshop covers the key industry updates including the fundamental best practice shift to NZGTTM.

As we move away from the warrant system, refresher workshops become more important to stay current and competent long term.

General Overview

This workshop is designed to update those already in the TTM industry with the latest industry changes. 

It’s suitable for everyone:

  • whether you have the earlier unit standards & warrants, or the new skill standards
  • Road crew – TTM workers through to STMS, or those working with TTM providers
  • Management – TTM managers, Operations Managers, right through to company owners
  • Planners, auditors and RCA/TAOs

 

The TTM industry is going through a fundamental shift in best practice, moving away from CoPTTM and to the NZ Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM) as best practice. 

The TTM Industry Refresher workshop supports you to stay up to date with these key changes. 

Content covered in this workshop includes:

  • The law, compliance for TTM, sources of TTM guidance
  • Introducing the NZGTTM and Risk based system
  • Hazard and risk identification, Risk subjects, Risk consequences
  • Active site monitoring and recording risk
  • Approach to controls under NZGTTM
  • Understanding NZGTTM Layout tables
  • Your National Student Number (NSN)
  • A form of identification (Drivers Licence or Passport)

This workshop is designed for those already in the TTM industry. It is intended for those who need to refresh their knowledge and stay up to date with current best practice.

  • Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), ongoing training and competency verification is required.

There is no formal assessment required for this workshop. 

This workshop does not involve a formal skill standard. 

It will assist employers in meeting their ongoing training and competency requirements under HSWA 2015. 

A Trilogy Training record of completion will be provided for evidence.
