Primary duty of care is a legal obligation requiring PCBUs (persons conducting a business or undertaking) to ensure the health and safety of their workers, contractors, and anyone else who may be impacted by their work. This includes providing safe work environments, necessary training, and suitable equipment. The goal is to proactively manage and reduce risks, making health and safety a fundamental part of the workplace.
